About us

This blog is published by Bretagne Next agency (ex-BDI), the economic development agency of the Brittany Region, in charge of promoting the competitive sailing and wind ship industries. Bretagne Next runs the Bretagne Sailing Valley program. The mission is to contribute to a robust nautical industry by capitalising on an exemplary Yacht Racing Industry, a vehicle for technological and sustainable transfers that accelerates innovation in the nautical industry and the decarbonisation of maritime transport. In Brittany, this dynamic is propelling the Wind Ship Propulsion industry forward in a responsible, sober and locally rooted nautical environment.

Bretagne Next’s mission is to anticipate and accelerate transitions in the regional economy, with the ambition of structuring sectors of the future: cybersecurity, digital & agri-agro, competitive sailing, marine energies and renewable hydrogen. Bretagne Next also coordinates the Relocalisons.bzh project to promote local purchasing, pilots the Bretagne brand and co-animates the EEN network.
